EN AW-2024 clad (WL 3.1364) and unclad (WL 3.1354)

Alloy 2024 with copper as well as magnesium is an optimized variant of the EN AW-2017 alloy. Thanks to its increased strength values and mechanical resistance, EN AW-2024 is used primarily in aerospace.

Due to the contained copper, the corrosion resistance of the duralumin alloy EN AW-2024 unclad (WL 3.1354) is rather poor – thanks to the application of a higher-quality metal layer, the corrosion protection of EN AW-2024 clad (WL 3.1364) is higher.
