At the same time, WL 1.4545 has a broad temperature spectrum: the martensitic steel can be used both at low temperatures of -200°C and at high temperatures of 300°C. The versatile applications for which 15-5 PH can be used result from the various properties of the hardenable, high-strength steel: Whenever the mechanical properties as well as the corrosion resistance of other martensitic steels are not sufficient for high-resistance parts, WL 1.4545 is a good choice.
